Annual Charity Golf Tournament Donates $10,000 to Foundation
The Annual West Coast Classic Invitational Golf Tournament takes place each year and includes several vendors from the automotive aftermarket industry. This annual golf tournament was founded in 1986 as the Sid Vernon Memorial Tournament, sponsored by The Unicorn Pub. In 1988 it was renamed Monk McQueen’s Automotive Invitational Tournament, and in 2011 it assumed its current name. The West Coast Classic Golf Tournament aims to raise money for various BC charities and provides Automotive Industries Association of Canada members from the BC Division the opportunity to network.
This month the Ed Coates Memorial Foundation graciously received $10,000 from the West Coast Classic Invitational Golf Tournament. “With donors such as the West Coast Classic Invitational Golf Tournament, it helps the ECMF continue its support to local students and automotive programs within the province of BC”, says Candace Gottschalk Director of the Ed Coates Memorial Foundation. “It’s support like this that our foundation needs to continue its success and grow.”
