Lordco Employees raise nearly $10,000 in holiday donations
The Coates family would like to thank all the Lordco employees that assisted in donating $9,872.25 to the Ed Coates Memorial Foundation over the 2019 holiday season. The children of Ed Coates – Samantha Coates, Sarah Durant, Ian Coates, and Candace Gottschalk – are happy to personally match the amount raised for a total of $19,744.50. These funds go directly to the many scholarships and bursaries in the automotive trade schools and business programs Lordco supports across BC.
In 2019 alone, the Ed Coates Memorial Foundation was able to raise over $55,000 for various automotive programs throughout BC. The Foundation provided over $20,000 in scholarships to students pursuing studies in automotive, distribution, and business at Vancouver Community College, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, BCIT, and the University of the Fraser Valley. Your donations also allowed the Foundation to make a special donation of $25,000 worth of new tools and equipment to Pitt Meadows Secondary School’s automotive program. Thanks to the generosity of donations, we’re continuing to work with other schools with automotive trade programs to provide even more support through scholarships, funding, and donations of high-quality tools and equipment in the future.
