For 50 years, it has been the VCC’s mission to provide quality education that helps create new opportunities for their students. None of this is possible without the support of dedicated donors. This Spring the Ed Coates Memorial Foundation was able to recognize two students for their achievements. Nancy Nesbitt of VCC states, “Please congratulate yourself for having a positive impact on our learners’ lives. Receiving your financial support is special; but it is truly heartwarming to see students’ confidence grow when recognized for their hard work.”

VCC students, Noorali Mohammadi and Danielle Silos, were the June 1, 2016 recipients of The Ed Coates Memorial Foundation Scholarship. They’ve shared this short biography so you’ll learn a bit more about them:

Danielle’s interest in cars began when she would visit body shops with her father.  Since then, she has taken interest in painting cars.  She decided to take the Prep and Refinishing program as a start to becoming a red seal painter.  She is now working in a body shop and enjoying the experience.  She is thankful for the excellent training she has received from VCC.

The impact of this award reaches far beyond awards’ day. We are pleased to know that in addition to receive high satisfaction rates from students that study at VCC, 93% of their graduates are employed upon completing their program.

“Please accept my deepest thanks on behalf of Noorali for your great support towards his studies. Your contribution is certainly a great encouragement to improve his educational and career opportunities”.

Congratulations to you both from the ECMF.
